This is a funny story, Ava got this pink and purple Mustang from her Nanny and Paw-Paw two Christmases ago. She was too little to drive in it and was terrified too much to have anyone else drive her in it, but she loved to watch others drive it!
Finally, about a month and a half ago, we were all outside and she was letting Dean drive and all of the sudden she wanted to take the wheel. She was very cautious but overcome with glee she was driving! This was a big step in her trusting herself and instilling a greater sense of confidence in her. It sounds strange, but is really true. Especially after we have been watching her just sit in her car for a year and a half! We are so proud!
Dean is a precious little soul! He is my girlfriend Stefanie's son and I kept him Tuesdays and Thursdays last year. They play so well together and are very sweet to one another. He tells everyone at school that Ava is is girlfriend. When he was driving her around in our bottom driveway, Chad asked him where they were going and Dean said "on a date". Chad asked him where and Dean said, "JC Penny's". We about fell over! We have that part on video. (Notice Ava's purse in her lap - hilarious) What really takes the cake is when she was in the passenger seat, she kept telling Dean how to drive! Tous Chez!
