Where Dreams Come True

Ava LOVES LOVES LOVES Minnie and Mickey Mouse and anything princess. Back in December 2007, me, Chad and my mom travelled to Disney World and met up with my brother and his new girlfriend there. It was the first time we met "Miss M" and we love HER! She makes my brother so happy and for that, we are very thankful. We rented a three bedroom condo for about $80 a night and it was very posh. We will definitely stay there again. Ava loved meeting the princesses and Minnie, and her favorite ride was the carousel. We started the journey off wrong though by seeing Mickey's 3D movie. It was pitch black in the theater, and when the enormous screen came on with the loud music - that was the end of any ride dark or loud for her. We still went on all the oldies but goodies (space mountain, thunder mountain, pirates of the Caribbean, splash mountain, haunted house, it's a small world to name a few :) ) and someone took turns playing with Ava while we rode. We spent two days at Disney and one day at Epcot. We had an amazing dinner in Italy and finished as the fireworks were starting. Note to self - never watch fire works with young children who don't like loud noises. We felt just awful as Ava screamed in terror until we walked out of the park and the fireworks were vanishing in the distance, not to mention it was after 10 at night. Our trip really ended with a bang! It was a lot of fun, but very exhausting. There is never enough time to spend with family. We really miss seeing Kris and that was the best part of the trip - besides him making us his famous "pizza bagels". We'll take our little princess back to Disney when she is a little older and the darkness and loud noises don't affect her so!
