It seems like just the other day my friends, who have older kids, were schooling me or should I say warning me on how some weekends I would be spending all of Saturday going to birthday parties. Well the time has arrived. We had three birthday parties back to back for the first time the other week. To my surprise they were all loads of FUN!! The first one was her cousin – Grayson’s. He had a magician at his party and this guy’s show was spectacular!! He really was like a Jim Carrey and had the kids and adults in stiches the ENTIRE show. I have seen other magicians before and they were cheesy with a capital C. After Grayson’s we were off to Zoie’s princess party. Ava chose to dress as Cinderella. Ava loves to play dress up so much, she probably has 8 – 10 different costumes/princess dresses to choose from! At the princess party, Sleeping beauty arrived to paint faces, do a little magic herself and make balloon animals. All of the little girls really were enchanted by her. They all wanted to know where she lived, where she was going after the party (she said to Cinderella’s ball) and how she was going to get there. Ava asked me the next day if she could visit Sleeping Beauty sometime and I told her of course!! Okay – whew are you tired yet? The last party of the day was her friend AJ, it was a pool party, but carnival style. My friend is really creative and she did a great job with games for the kids, prizes but best of all the menu! There was a large spread of corn dogs, nachos, popcorn, cotton candy and fruit and vegetable platters. I had such a great time with Ava all day and she really enjoyed herself also, she didn’t even show signs of being tired or cranky until we were on our way home at 6 that night. Luckily my neighbor two doors down was having us over for dinner that night and it was a great cap off to the day!!
It is really interesting to me that so many of Ava’s friends she is connected to have birthdays the same week as her. All those sweet little sensitive cancers.
