Our anniversary was October 25 and it was a really great one. Last year we went to see Rascal Flats at Philips Arena and spent the night at a boutique hotel called The Glen in Atlanta. This year, Chad has been sooooo busy with work, I can’t believe we had the time to take a night for ourselves. We roped my bday and anniversary into one night. The week before our Anniversary, Chad gave me some beautiful roses and a sweet card and before we went out to dinner for our night out, I got another touching card and more beautiful flowers. We dropped Ava off at Sue –Sue’s and headed downtown to Woodfire Grille in ATL. My friend Amanda recommended this place, the chef actually owns the restaurant. It was delicious food – the menu changes every day and all the food is either locally grown and/or organic. All of the food is made to order so it’s my kind of restaurant, the portion sizes are perfect and I actually could finish all my food before the next course came out. We started a new tradition this year where we spend a good portion of our night sharing our favorite times with each other over the past 9 years we have been together. It was great to relive all of these moments and I love reflecting on how much our relationship grows every year. It really felt like we were dating again. The music playing in the background was even from some of the artists we played at our wedding, Etta James and Norah Jones. The best part about the food was our discovery of the best coffee we have ever tasted – they even GAVE us a pound of it!! It is so important to continue dating your husband amidst all the chaos in every day life.
