The Party After…

The day after graduation, Kris had a party at his house with lots of food and delicious cocktails. Our drink of choice that day were dirty martinis. Emily makes a great one!! My highlight of the trip was seeing one of my best friends Lisa. I had not been able to see her since we moved to Georgia and she came up for like 5 or 6 hours that day and we did not stop talking!! Of course that still was not enough time to catch up. I really miss her. She is always so thoughtful – she brought Ava a Christmas present and it is the cutest Roxy outfit. Some of the best times of my life have been with her and our friend Natalie (who we just reconnected with on Facebook). I am so proud of my friends for where they are at in their lives now. I can't wait till Lisa gets married this year and at some point a reunion with her and Natalie!!!

A few of Kris’s friends have kids now so that worked out great for Ava too. The kids had so much fun playing together and watching movies!! How we have come full circle. My little brother’s friends who he has had since middle school now have kids that play with ours – pretty trippy. The party was a blast – it makes us feel really good to see all the support my brother’s friends give him. They are all our extended family – we have grown up with them too.

I also have to say what a great Aunt Emily is (it will be official someday). She went out and got Ava some markers and a cute pad for her to doodle on while she was there and Ava absolutely adores her. She is all about family when we are there and we are so glad she make Kris so happy. It's also really fun to swap clothes with her because she has killer taste...Thanks EM, can't wait to trade again!!
